4.1.13 upgrade error

Post by jondickinson » Fri Jan 27, 2017 3:11 pm

Good afternoon,

I have been trying to upgrade to TBG V4.1.13 but am having SQL DB errors which I am hoping you can help with.

We where originally on V4.0.1 and I managed to upgrade to 4.1.0 successfully, however when I try to upgrade to any version higher than that, V4.1.9, 4.1.10 or 4.1.13 I get the below error:

An error occurred in The Bug Genie
Duplicate column name 'percentage_type'

An exception was thrown in the B2DB framework

SQL:

Can anybody assist me in getting past this? I am not overly familiar with TBG as I have inherited the software from a previous engineer.

Thanks,

Jon

First, make a backup of your DB.

You can try this :
ALTER TABLE tbg_milestones DROP COLUMN percentage_type;

Thanks, I will give it a go. I did try renaming the existing column in the table but that didn't work. I will try dropping it and let you know.

Do you know are there many changes to the structure of the DB from version 4.0.1 to 4.1.13?

Thanks,

Jon

No idea.
I just upgraded to 4.1.13 and got a lot of problems and features not working (like email notifs).

For me, if it can help you, I had to make those actions to be able to upgrade to 4.1.13 :
ALTER TABLE tbg3_milestones DROP COLUMN percentage_type;
ALTER TABLE tbg_issues DROP COLUMN locked_category;
ALTER TABLE tbg_projects DROP COLUMN issues_lock_type;
ALTER TABLE tbg_mailing_queue DROP COLUMN subject;
ALTER TABLE tbg_mailing_queue DROP COLUMN `from`;
ALTER TABLE tbg_mailing_queue DROP COLUMN `to`;
ALTER TABLE tbg_mailing_queue DROP COLUMN `part`;
