Re: is TheBugGenie still being continued

There is a link to the latest edition 4.1.9 here: https://github.com/thebuggenie/thebuggenie/releases I informed the Softaculous team of this update and requested that they create an automated update: http://www.softaculous.com/board/index.php?tid=9759&title=Please_create_the_upgrade_to_TheBugGenie_...

Re: is TheBugGenie still being continued

They're very busy on GitHub https://github.com/thebuggenie/thebuggenie, and the team's own bug genie at http://issues.thebuggenie.com/about has been updated to 4.1.9!!! I think it's a pretty small team that focuses on keeping the paid subscribers' bug genies working with constant updates, which are ...

When should we make a post a bug or enhancement issue?

Re: Method to hide /public/ folder from URL?

Could the hiding /public/ in the url be part of the install process where the user is asked if The Bug Genie is being installed in its own subdomain folder? Should I add this as an enhancement idea?

The picture was not resized to fit (as it is in here in this forum) and forced the text box off screen along with the text in this box. Problem is no obvious horizontal scroll appeared to enable scrolling to read this off sc...

Intitial install gives 755 permission to core files!

The install I did of 4.1 via Softaculous set most of the folders to permissions 755, which allows anyone to see my core/config files :o I reset /core to 744 which seems to work, but I'm wondering what setting would provide max security and functionality? Is there a folder by folder guide for setting...

Method to hide /public/ folder from URL?

I'm wondering if following the instructions for 3.x summarized below from an archived post, will create a clean url (hide the /public/) = buggenie.mydomain.org and not mess up security or the auto-mailing function in v4.1? Here is the orginal post's link: http://archive.forum.thebuggenie.org/viewtop...
